My Approach to Helping
I have a strong interest in helping people (and couples) who feel stuck, who want a more fulfilling life, however find themselves helplessly repeating similar patterns. Painful feelings of frustration, anxiety, sadness, fear, and loneliness are familiar emotions you may experience as a result. I emphasize a deep exploration of one's self, which can lead to changes in one's life along with an increased sense of vitality. By creating a therapeutic relationship, we also learn to recognize and understand patterns of interactions, thoughts, and responses that interfere in your daily life and within your relationships.
I have been practicing for over 10 years, primarily working with adults in psychodynamic psychotherapy. My varied clinical trainings in different settings (developmental kindergarten, neuro-rehabilitation center, and with couples and veterans at the John D. Dingell VAMC) enrich my ability to help you with life's intersecting challenges and difficulties.
