My Approach to Helping
I’m an experienced therapist with over 20 years in counselling and psychotherapy, specializing in anxiety, relationships workplace stress. I utilize a variety of approaches to best suit the individual as I believe each individual should be approached with a unique therapeutic experience. To honour the individuality of my clients’ background, goals and strengths, I use the following evidence-based modalities: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Trauma-Informed Care. I also incorporate Transpersonal Psychology, gestalt or a psycho-spiritual approach to healing.
I have worked in roles such as clinical coordinator, mental health therapist and staff and physician wellness leader within hospitals, university, government, community mental health settings and in private practice. Additionally, I have held mindfulness meditation workshops globally.

I am a Registered Social Worker, (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, (OCSWSSW), a member with the Ontario Association of Social Workers, (OASW), the Canadian Association of Social Workers, (CASW) and the Canadian Society for Spirituality and Social Work, (CSSSW). I also offer EAP services to employees and management.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
My passion is to serve and guide my clients experiencing challenges with their relationship, anxiety, depression, work-life balance or burnout. I love teaching Mindful Leadership to corporate managers. I have held leadership roles in mental health in several GTA hospitals, university, government, and in private practice.
My Role as a Therapist
I work with people seeking insights and the answers to deep questions, who are experiencing a disconnect: where stress, anxiety, or overwhelm may be causing them to feel out of alignment with who they truly are. In therapy, we focus upon going deeper, in order to emerge with a greater understanding of who you are and how to be aligned to your truest self.
