My Approach to Helping
I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I’m passionate about working with individuals as they navigate through life’s difficult transitions and challenges. I take a client-centered approach to healing, as I believe that every individual has their own unique set of strengths that can be used to promote positive change. I support clients in better understanding their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings so that they feel empowered to break the cycle of maladaptive coping skills and intergenerational trauma. It is important to me that my practice is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive because therapeutic care should be accessible to everyone.
My areas of primary focus include working with clients coping with anxiety, attachment issues, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and relational issues. I have experience working with children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, and families in a variety of community mental health settings. I also have additional training in addressing perinatal mental health challenges.
