My Approach to Helping
Are you carrying things with you that are affecting your everyday routine; home life, your relationships, parenting, your concentration reactions to others, intrusive thoughts? You do not need to carry these negative feelings with you every day. They are weighing you down. It is time for you to reset yourself.
I take a collaborative approach when working with my clients. I may be a mental health professional, but you are the expert on yourself; let's work together to figure this all out. I typically begin with learning who you are, and then move forward with assisting you as needed.
I work with individuals of all ages, couples, families, and also groups.
Though I am always working with a diverse range of needs, my focus is on trauma and abuse; physical, emotional, and sexual. Again, individuals, couples, families, and groups; however, it may be determined that individual therapy is needed prior to couples/family/group work.
When working with couples and families, I do not point fingers, that is counterproductive. Instead, I prefer to see that the interactions between individuals does not work, and I am here to help you understand those interactions better.
