My Approach to Helping
I've been a marriage and family therapist for 22 years. Michael uses humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) treatments for depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, substance use conditions, adolescent turmoil, trauma, transitions, grief, self-esteem, and other life challenges. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and couples. Michael uses a non-judgmental, caring, and often uplifting approach that includes mindfulness and an appreciation and respect for diverse clientele, ethnicity, spiritual/religious, orientation, and identity issues. I have my own private practice, but I also have a group practice with four amazing therapists who work for me. I love supervising my therapists and finding creative ways to help people who are stuck and suffering with different issues and concerns.
