My Approach to Helping
Counseling for normal people is a thing. A real thing. Some people might wonder why you'd talk to a therapist when "your life is so perfect." I'm not one of those people. You can come in, sit down, and not be envied or judged. There's no reason to stand so resolutely on that pedestal your friend or loved one placed you on. You can even come without makeup! Deodorant, though, is mandatory. :) Once here you can share how pride and prejudice have impacted your relationships. Maybe your spouse's inferiority complex is driving you crazy. Maybe you went as far as you could with the therapist who took insurance, but you're now ready to go beyond what your insurance would pay for. It doesn't really matter why you're here. You're here, so let's do it!
More Info About My Practice
Round Rock Square Hole, PLLC is predicated on serving those who gave, who served, who sacrificed. You don't have to be a military veteran to know what that means. Coincidentally I'm a retired Coastie and Soldier, who responded to Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the Fort Hood shooting in 2009. I also have OIF and OEF experience. I'm not saying this to toot my own horn. I'm sharing some things that make me, drive me, and push me to continue serving however I can. Belinda also has a story. Our story is much less important than yours, though.
My Role as a Therapist
You're the expert on you. Our role is to be the tour guide on your journey.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
You go to therapy for the same reasons you go to the gym - strength, health, contentment, release, and relief. Every now and then you go to get assistance. You've already shown strength in caring enough to come to this website. Now what action would take courage?
