My Approach to Helping
We are all inherently social, relational creatures and it's painful for us when we struggle in any meaningful relationship - be it romantic partners, colleagues, friends, family, or anyone else. You likely already know that you can experience this pain emotionally, physically, or both. Sadness, worry, guilt, aches and pains, sleep problems, change in appetite, stress, and frustration are just a few of the ways that a lack of connection, or a rift in relationships, can impact you on a daily basis.
I want to help you learn how to master your interpersonal relationships so that you can replace that emotional and physical pain with feelings of fulfillment, meaning, connection, and authenticity. Relationships are my specialty and my passion! Building and sustaining valuable connections isn't just about how you interact with others, it's also about who you are in those interactions. Having a positive, solid sense of self is critical for finding and keeping the kinds of relationships you want. You can reduce your distressing symptoms, feel centered in yourself, and improve your relationships - and therapy can help you get there.
I work with both individuals and couples who have a wide range of issues that bring them to therapy. I am affirming of all sexual and gender identities and relationship of any type or make-up.
