My Approach to Helping
Hello my name is Melody Evans
Life can be hard for all of us. So at times it is very helpful to talk to someone who is an outsider, not a family member or friend, who can give you a new perspective. As a therapist that is what I can do. While helping you heal, grow and develop through difficult times. I have 17 years of experience and specialize in a number of areas. Including individual, couples, family therapy, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) a form of trauma therapy that can also be used to treat other issues like depression and anxiety. Examples of issues I treat include: Relationship Issues, Depression, Divorce, Abuse Recovery, Self- Esteem, Anger-Heath Issues, Eating disorders, Anxiety, Developmental Issues, Grief & Loss, Career & Job Stress, and Disabilities. How Psychotherapy Can Help
Through participating in talk therapy clients can overcome a number of mental health issues such as, depression, anger, loneliness, relationship conflict, work place stress, grief, addiction and anxiety. Clients are given the opportunity to have their thoughts, feelings and emotions honored. My work focuses on helping clients find solutions to the problems and challenges of everyday life. The purpose of psychotherapy is to provide a comfortable place where, through therapeutic interventions, people can discover solutions to their problems. This is why I love my job. We all need a little help some times and I would be happy to help you.
My Therapy Focus
Is comprised of three areas that I love:
Working with couples and individuals to help them deal with conflicts, created better relationships in their lives or help them overcome any challenge they are facing.
Secondly providing EMDR therapy (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy. This methodology is helpful for individuals who have gone to traditional talk therapy for years and are still struggling. It can be used with many issues from healing sexual abuse healing, depression, anxiety, phobias, grief and loss, self esteem, break ups, and divorce.
Finally I love helping individuals who just need a few sessions to find a fresh perspective on their situation. Or are struggle due to a specific circumstance in their lives that they feel they are stuck in.
