My Approach to Helping
I have twelve years of experience in a variety of settings: hospital floors, emergency rooms, behavioral health programs, and schools. I have experience with children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population. I have worked with individuals facing major medical diagnoses, individuals recovering from major traumas, those facing end-of-life decisions, and everything in-between. I am able to offer effective and individualized psychological care. I treat a number of mental health disorders, and I provide a neutral, non-judgmental ground to individuals and families. I can help you bring the sunshine, joy, and laughter back into your life!
As a certified trauma therapist, I use a variety of tools and activities to help clients examine thoughts, change self-destructive choices, and build on coping skills. I use a combination of techniques and theories, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotional Freedom Technique.
My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward in your life. I will help you define yourself outside of your challenges, and I will give you the tools so that your trauma does not define your life.
