My Approach to Helping
Often we become so consumed in helping and loving others that we forget about ourselves. I understand how easy it is to care for others and not have enough left to give yourself. As a therapist, my aim is to support my clients on a journey of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-compassion, which tend to get lost in the midst of an eating disorder. I incorporate somatic experiencing (in my first year of training) and EMDR to get to the root of the eating disorder.
I'm excited to support you on your new journey. Call me today and let's get started!
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
It has been shown that the best predictor of effective therapy is the therapeutic relationship. It is my goal for each of my clients to feel comfortable due because of the vulnerability that occurs within sessions. This is why I like to check in with clients on a consistent basis to ensure we mutually agree you are benefiting from our work.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Therapy provides an incredible opportunity that many people never experience. This is your personal time to learn who you are and how you function and that is invaluable.
