My Approach to Helping
Melissa built her value and belief systems around the importance of authentic, genuine counselling relationships through working in nonprofit and private practice environments. She was able to connect with adults who were on the road to recovery from addiction, homelessness, trauma, and mental health such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar. Her awareness and compassion to the importance of workplace mental health has been amplified by these first hand experiences. She believes attachment and understanding emotion is the key to those seeking to build their skills in healthy individual and family relationships, caring and compassion for one's self.
