My Approach to Helping
Are you experiencing depression, anxiety, or an overwhelming feeling? I am here to help. My goal is to help people make more sense of those overwhelming feelings, understand why they are feeling that way, and learn how to feel more in control of their own lives. I view the family as a system which can be impacted if one member is in need of support. I have experience working with young children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples using a variety of evidence-based techniques best suited to each person. I will meet you where you are emotionally and help you find your best potential, building emotional intelligence and strength. I know making that first call for help is the hardest. That call can change the course of your life. You are worth it!
My Role as a Therapist
My role as a therapist is to help you identify issues, process your feelings, and develop solutions to conflict and problems that may seem overwhelming and out of control. Our relationship will provide a basis from which you will gain strength and confidence to manage stressful and conflicting events on your own. Our sessions will provide a safe space for you to work through challenges and struggles with my support.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Picking up the phone to reach out for help when you most need it can actually be a sign of strength and self-awareness. This is a moment in which you realize that you may need the help of a professional to work through a hard time. Understanding your limitations is essential for growth and improving personal areas in which we may need support. Everyone needs help at one time or another, and I am here to provide that to you.
