My Approach to Helping
Many people mistakenly believe that psychotherapy is only for crises. Research shows, though, that therapy is a wise investment in your growth and satisfaction. Some other healing modalities, such as mindfulness, exercise, Tai Chi, and yoga, can also support your growth and healing. I have extensively trained in the application of mindfulness to growth and healing, and have successfully integrated tools such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, CBT, DBT, EMDR, and hypnosis. I find that authenticity and humor are essential to healing, and make liberal use of both.
