Hi, I'm Matt and I help adults clarify their career direction, and find more satisfaction and success at work and in life. Clients who contact me often report they're feeling stuck, frustrated, disengaged, or sometimes even hopeless about their career and life direction -- but it doesn't have to be that way.

My approach to helping is grounded in the belief that career/work concerns are among the most personal we experience -- as they are often closely tied to issues of meaning, life purpose, identity, family and relationships, spirituality, and overall well-being. Simply put, how we spend our time and our energy matters a lot.

Past clients have described my style as professional, authentic, straight-forward, warm but willing to challenge, and focused on the results you are wanting to create for yourself.

The strength of my approach lies in establishing a strong client-counselor alliance that respects and honors your values, authentic self, and career/life aspirations. I offer an extensive assessment process to assist you with identifying and understanding unique gifts that you bring to the world of work including: strengths, interests, skills, and values. I am qualified and experienced with a variety of career, work style, and personality assessments including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strong Interest Inventory, DiSC, and StrengthsFinder/CliftonStrengths. Together, we'll uncover and clarify what makes you unique and what factors are most important as you design a career that matters to you and meets your needs.

Often, improving your career and life satisfaction and success also has a very practical side -- which may include developing stronger job search skills, enhancing manager/leadership competencies, or establishing new habits to help you be more successful. Through coaching, I offer guidance, support, and resources to help you move forward on the more practical aspects of your career and personal development goals.
