My Approach to Helping
My passion for therapy began early on in my life. Working through my own trauma at a young age, I know what the healing process looks like from all sides. My own healing has varied from adjusting through divorced parents all the way to personal religious trauma. This has helped me become more empathic towards my clients from all walks of life. Rest assured that you will be heard in a secure, shame-free environment.
Growing up in Central California, I grew up with diverse populations and understands how various cultures, faiths, and upbringings can affect our everyday lives. I am committed to respecting your views and opinions and incorporating them into your healing process.
I am committed to working side-by-side with you throughout your healing process, in your timeframe. I understand how important it is for you to be in charge of your own healing process because I have seen how the healing process can change your outlook on life! I’m excited to join you on your journey towards healing, love, and empowerment.
More Info About My Practice
I’ve worked through my own traumas, doubts, and fears when it comes to relationships, faith and other personal aspects of life. I know what it is like to open up those most vulnerable parts of yourself and invite someone in to that space. I’m not here to judge you. I’m here to help you on your journey to becoming the person you want to be.
Helping people has always been a passion of mine. That is why I seek to help people in anyway possible by teaching them how to use all the resources available to them. I host a podcast called Stuff You Should Know About Therapy as an additional source for my clients to get a little extra help in between sessions and for anyone interested in taking charge of their mental health.
My Role as a Therapist
One phrase that I never use in session is "in my professional opinion." This is because you know you the best! You know what works and what doesn't work in your healing process. This doesn't mean that I won't push you in therapy; it just means that when the time comes for pushing and growth it will be done in a way that you understand and a way that will work for you. I believe that my role as a therapist is to help show you the inner strength that you already have.
