My Approach to Helping
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile and consider trusting me with some of the deepest parts of your life. I don't take for granted the courage it takes to step out and seek help. The very core of my practice as a therapist is built on the understanding that most people just need understanding and acceptance in a non-judgemental environment. If you choose to contact me my first goal is to help you understand how welcome you are and how free you are to express whatever might be bothering you without the fear of being judged.
The type of treatment I offer is holistic in nature. My main intervention is QEEG guided neurofeedback (for more information visit my webpage). In addition to this, I also offer EMDR, biofeedback, mindfulness, neurotransmitter testing, and traditional counseling. My goal is to treat the whole person, processing trauma, and adjusting the electrical patterns in the brain may not be enough if diet and exercise are not added to the treatment plan in some capacity. This is not to say that you have to switch to a keto diet and run every day, small changes are often the most helpful. I fully believe in most cases the body is able to naturally produce the chemicals we need to get back on track and therapy can be used as a tool to organize or aid this process.
