My Approach to Helping
Are you trying to cope with the stresses and anxieties of daily life? Do you struggle with negative thoughts about yourself? Are the increasing demands of life becoming unmanageable? I believe a supportive and encouraging therapeutic relationship, alongside practical, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-focused interventions, can help you uncover new possibilities and strengths to make real changes in your life. I specialize in individual therapy for adults and adolescents (aged 16 and older). In my role as a therapist, I believe it is my job to help the individual find their potential and tap into the resilience I know we all possess. I help my clients learn and implement the tools they need to achieve their goals. I also support exercise as a self-care practice due to the mental, emotional, and physical benefits.
In my clinical experience, I have worked with a wide range of individuals, and mental health issues. I specialize in helping manage depression, anxiety, substance abuse, panic and co-occurring disorders, just to name a few. Together we’ll build upon your strengths so you can successfully implement the skills, and strategies you learn in therapy, into your daily life.
Through therapy and our work together, you can regain control over your life, by developing the ability to overcome once challenging obstacles. I look forward to meeting you and collaboratively working together to achieve your goals.
