My Approach to Helping
You may be looking for therapy to come to terms with the past, cope with a difficult life situation or to achieve personal growth. The prerequisites for change are self-awareness and self-acceptance. As counterintuitive as it seems, without knowing who we are and accepting who we are, we cannot change. My task as a therapist is to help you become more aware and accepting of who you are now and what brought you here. Together we will look for healthy and sustainable ways for you to cope with difficult life experiences and ways to grow as a person.
I have worked as a psychologist for two decades in Europe and the Middle East. I offer therapy to individuals and couples with diverse cultural backgrounds. My work is based on existential-phenomenological and cognitive-behavioural approaches. With couples, my work is based on the Gottman method. As I always aim to find the best way to help each individual or couple, my therapeutic approach is flexible and depends on what the client is looking for.
