My Approach to Helping
Therapy can be a powerful and enriching experience resulting in positive change. If you are experiencing difficulty in life I can work with you to improve your sense of well being. You can learn coping strategies to aid in grief, divorce, relationship problems and internal conflict. By modifying negative beliefs, self-esteem can improve and self-discovery can be nurtured. You might be encouraged to look at things a different way or learn new ways to react to events or people. You will learn to attend to your thoughts, feelings and life issues.
You will be able to explore whatever is on your mind in a supportive, respectful and non-judgmental environment. I will collaborate with you on exploring goals and plans you have for your future.
My background is in Mental Health Counseling, I have worked in the field as a skills counselor for five years. My counseling orientation includes Cognitive Therapy, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing.
