My Approach to Helping
Who doesn't need a little help, when so much of our life is feeling out of control? I believe in a holistic, healthy approach to helping us achieve our best mental well-being. The mind and the body deserve our full attention in times of stress.
When the burdens of Corona virus, anxiety, depression, life's transitions, school or career challenges, relationship issues, health issues, aging issues, grief, overeating, parenting issues, or whatever other issues you are facing that are holding you back from feeling your best, I am happy to listen and help you find solutions. In a secure, comfortable, and confidential environment, I will do my best to listen and help guide you to achieving your goals. I am often directive in my practice and will offer as many practical solutions and tools you wish to explore. We can get a lot done in a short period of time, most generally. You choose. This is YOUR journey. Sometimes, though, there is lot to be learned by sharing your story. Everyone deserves to be heard, and everyone deserves an approach designed specifically for them. I will work hard to find the right method that works best for you. You are in the driver's seat. I am just sitting next to you.

More Info About My Practice
I am a fee-for-service based counselor. I accept credit cards, debit cards, and checks. I do NOT file insurance although some clients utilize their Health Savings Accounts. I charge $80 for an hour, a full 60 minutes in the office; or phone sessions are 30 minutes for $50. I usually offer homework tools, reading materials, and other resources, if the client desires. I truly believe that we can accomplish a lot when we all are working closely together. I will check in with you at the end of every session to make sure we are working positively towards accomplishing your goals. My goal is to help you find ways towards feeling better as soon as possible.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
I wish that everyone could attend a counseling session whenever life gets a little challenging. Oftentimes, when we address problems early, we can quickly turn them around into "opportunities." Because of my many life experiences, I believe I have developed a huge heart, a non-judgemental mind, an open spirit, a creative way of seeking solutions, an ability to work well with ALL ages, and a large toolbox of resources.
I have been married for over 39 years and have raised three children and many pets. I have cared for many elders and worked in the medical and health industry for years. I take a whole person approach when helping others. I am constantly learning new tools and am now a certified Integrative Mental Health and Nutrition specialist.
