My Approach to Helping
My help is available when difficulties cause undue anxiety, depression or concern; impact personal or professional relationships, or impair the ability to function and grow. The approach I use recognizes each person is unique with their own needs, abilities, and goals; and changing current circumstances can be better and more quickly accomplished using skills tailored to them and their specific situation.
I offer people Customized Life Skills that use their inherent strengths to accomplish changes they desire in their personal and professional lives, and I also show them how to productively use these skills. This effectively helps them deal with negative experiences or emotions so they can experience a happier and better life. When people want greater satisfaction and success in some facet of their life, such as singles dating more effectively, as one example, I can help through life coaching.
I am licensed in two states; work with individual adults, families, couples, and adolescents; and have also provided corporate in-house group therapy. While providing clinical therapy, I taught at the NYU Graduate School of Social Work in New York City as an Adjunct Professor, and have also supervised Clinical Social Workers as part of their pre-requisite for extensive supervision prior to becoming state Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW).
Outcomes for people I have helped include their ability to:
- Significantly Reduce Levels of Depression and Anxiety
- More Effectively Manage Stress
- Use New Methods to Better Solve Family Issues
- Resolve School Problems and Improve Academic Achievement
- Develop More Fulfilling and Loving Relationships
- Improve Conflict Resolution Capabilities
- Increase Workplace Satisfaction and Performance.
