My Approach to Helping
Based on the client's goals, I help the client develop a sense of perspective regarding their emotions and behavior, encourage exploration of alternative thoughts and behaviors to improve quality of life, and learn new skills as well as building on personal strengths by generalizing from present skills to new areas of life. In addition, I am mindful of the influence of a person's social network of family, friends, and co-workers. I generally work on present related issues and problems, but do consider how past experiences might influence perception, expectations, and/or behavioral tendencies.
