My Approach to Helping
Do you feel like you've lost power over your life? Are you constantly overwhelmed and feeling unease and cannot figure out why? You have been living on the edge and feeling unsafe and disconnected from your body. You want to learn how your upbringing and the trauma you've experienced through life are affecting your present and you want to connect mind and body. You hold a marginalized identity and you want to be seen and be authentic unapologetically, but your internal voice is constantly telling you that you don't belong. You are reading this asking yourself if there is a tiny chance for you to start healing.
Everyone deserves to feel safe, to be heard, to be seen. Your body needs a safe connection to start healing from traumatic events. Therapy is a place where you can explore, unlearn, rebuild, reconnect... You can heal, you can turn off that mean internal voice, and start a new life narrative where you can be aware of your power and your strengths.
My practice is collaborative and humanistic with a focus on empowering clients to reclaim their power over their lives. I provide clients with reflective conversations to increase their self-awareness and self-esteem, skills to learn how to regulate emotions, techniques to heal the mind and body connection, and nurturing space where safety and human connection are priorities; all these through the lens of liberation practices to help clients understand how the intersection of their identities is impacting their situation.
