My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
Over the years, I have grown to understand certain common factors, regardless of the circumstance, with persons having difficulty. Simply stated, people experience different degrees of skills deficits. Identifying what aspects which are unique to your personal challenges and then mapping a course for change is the treatment plan. Within the context of a personal and intimate one-on-one relationship, we will introduce important skills (i.e. communication, coping, decoupling negative thought patterns, etc.) and discuss your practice with these skills. You will improve your ability to shift perspectives on important matters, in the moment, and anticipate improved resiliency for the next chapter of your life. I prefer for you to identify important values which highlight ideas, beliefs, and actions that add meaningpurpose to your day to day living. The process of recovery begins with your interest in meeting and exploring the discovery of wellness, health and contentment.
