Dr. Mark Bowers is a Pediatric Psychologist in Brighton, Michigan where he serves as Clinical Director of the Brighton Center for Pediatric Neurodevelopment. He has worked with children, adolescents, young adults (up to 26 years old), and parents for over 15 years. He specializes in neurodevelopmental diagnoses (Autism Spectrum, Asperger's, ADHD, Nonverbal Learning Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Learning Difficulties) and teaching 'quirky' kids social skills. Dr. Bowers also works extensively with depression and anxiety symptoms. He is active in special education and advocacy. Dr. Bowers was named a "Mom Approved" Top Doctor. He developed a mobile app (Sosh) to help children improve their social skills that has been downloaded in over 40 countries and is being used in elementary schools, high schools, and colleges across the US.

Dr. Bowers's first book (released in 2011) is titled: "Sosh: Improving Social Skills with Children and Adolescents." His latest book, "8 Keys to Raising the Quirky Child: Helping a Child Who Doesn't Quite Fit In" is published internationally by Norton & Co. and received advance acclaim from Dr. Temple Grandin and the prestigious starred review from Publishers Weekly.

Dr. Bowers prides himself on being able to connect with children and their families in a welcoming, kid-friendly environment that helps children identify their strengths while working through their difficulties. It can be daunting for a child to enter a therapist's office and every effort is made to make the experience fun and interactive while avoiding any stigma associated with needing help with some aspect of life or daily functioning.
