Somatic Psychotherapy
The body contains interior somatic awareness of the most fundamental experience in life. At this somatic level, we can hear the messages of our inner voice, sense the wonder of being alive and understand the non-verbal experience of truth and authenticity. I also work with Family Systems, helping families, relationships grow and also separate in a healthy way, since I am a certified divorce mediator.

Marriage, Family and Child Therapist
I am a marriage and family therapist who treats a wide range of serious problems including: depression, marital problems, anxiety, individual psychological problems, and child-parent problems. Dr. Rand's practice includes couples counseling, pre-marital counseling, sexual issues, family issues and relationship issues.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am an expert in helping people to deal with anxiety issues and panic attacks. I work directly with the brain through the Autonomic Nervous System.

My Role as a Therapist

I accompany people on a journey to find themselves. I witness, observe, mirror and reflect what I see, sense and feel on this journey, and hopefully can guide people safely on their journey to discover their sense of self.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

I always make the client in charge of his/her own process. I help them create boundaries for safety and I respect their boundaries. I am there for them in whatever role or function they need from me. They never have to go further than they are prepared to handle.
