My Approach to Helping
Hi! I am Marissa Wright, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with six years of clinical experience working in addictions and mental health counseling. I have worked with adults of all ages in both individual and group counseling settings and would be honored to work with you throughout your journey of self-exploration and self-improvement. Using a person-centered, strengths-based approach, I aim to utilize my professional skills to help you achieve your therapeutic goals.
My counseling style is pretty laid back overall. I believe in treating all clients with respect and cultivating a safe space free of judgments. Former clients have described me as being warm, calming, patient, and empathetic, and I will always do my best to make you feel at ease.
My therapeutic approach combines a variety of modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Client-Centered, and Rational-Emotive Therapy techniques. I believe in working collaboratively with you to determine which interventions will work most effectively to meet your unique and specific needs. One size does not fit all when it comes to counseling, so I find collaboration with you throughout the therapeutic process essential. You must discover this experience nothing short of beneficial.
It takes undeniable strength and courage to take steps to make changes in your life, and I commend you for taking the first step. I am here for guidance and support if you’re ready to take another.
I look forward to working with you!
