My Approach to Helping
I provide a safe place for clients to witness a wide range of feelings, thoughts, and emotions. I meet clients with grace, compassion, and honesty, and aim to help clients identify patterns of thinking that are no longer serving them.
I received an MSW from Dominican University and worked in multiple levels of care including outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential, and inpatient. I serve adolescents and adults struggling with depression, mood disorders, PTSDtrauma, eating disorders, and more. I also have extensive experience treating dual diagnosis patients.
In therapy, I help clients process barriers that limit them from living authentically and empower them to make necessary changes in their lives. I also aim to help clients explore ways in which current struggles may be impacted by past experiences. Through the therapeutic relationship, I help explore maladaptive ways of coping and builds insight on alternative ways of healing. I consider it an honor to walk with clients as they navigate life.
