My Approach to Helping
I work to help clients uncover within themselves the courage and strength to face life's stressors with confidence. In my work with clients, I am most interested in helping people develop a compassionate relationship with their own experiences, that can lead them on a journey of acceptance, self discovery, relief from suffering, and healing of relational disconnects. Finding acceptance of the self without shame leads to a greater sense of peace and happiness.
My Therapy Focus
My focus is helping clients find resolution with their inner conflicts and finding peace with their own experiences, resolving shame and anxiety in the process. My focus in couples counseling is on helping the couple find new and meaningful ways to resolve conflict and move through their own internal conflict to achieve greater emotional intimacy.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
When I need help with my taxes I seek out a CPA, when I need help with my car I go to a mechanic. If I want help with problems in my life that I can't quite seem to see the bigger picture of and my friends don't really understand, it makes sense to seek out someone that understands people, their motivations and how to help. It doesn't make us weak to do so, it means we have the intelligence to go to the people that have the training and experience to help.
