My Approach to Helping
Do you feel as though you have come to a fork in the road of life? Feel disconnected to those around you? Taking the step to seek help is a brave step. Through therapy, we work together facing life's challenges aiding in your healing and growth. I take a calm, firm, and supportive approach as we work through those challenges in a timeframe that is comfortable for you.
At my practices, I focus on establishing an authentic relationship between the client(s) and myself by creating an open, supportive, non-judgmental space for healing. You are the expert on your life, therefore I work in collaboration with you identifying and focusing on the areas and challenges that are most significant to you.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Areas I specialize in are:
Co-occurring - Addiction and mental health issues -- For example struggling with addiction as a way of coping with a past or current life eventexperience, we would work on both the issue behind the addiction and the struggles related to the addiction itself.
Grief counseling -- counseling for those who recently experienced a loss whether it is a physical loss or an emotional loss of a relationship and unresolved grief due to issues from one's past (including but not limited to past traumas) which is causing struggles in your current life.
Mood disorder counseling - counseling for those who struggle with a mood disorder diagnosis. Working with each person in an individualistic manner. Providing a non-judgmental open environment for the client to process their emotions, racing thoughts, etc., all while providing help regarding how to use therapeutic strategies outside of sessions.
My Role as a Therapist
In my role as a therapist, I see the client as a whole, not as their presenting concern. I help you to see resources rather than focusing on setbacks. We can learn from our setbacks by moving forward with resources and strategies, not by cycling in the setback. I help you to identify and create clear, realistic goals and how to use your existing strengths and resources to accomplish said goals. You are the author of your story and I am here to walk with you to help guide you in creating the storylife you want to live.
