My Approach to Helping
I have always had a passion in getting to know individuals and families of all different walks of life. Growing up in Dubuque, IA my parents were very involved in their community, from feeding meals to displaced families on Wednesday nights to providing transportation to disadvantaged families on Sunday mornings. I quickly learned at a young age what a privilege it was to be able to help others through advocacy, action and encouragement. This foundation pushed me to study Social Work, graduating with my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Wartburg College, in Waverly, IA in 2010 and then graduating with my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls, IA in 2013. Since becoming a licensed clinician in 2014 I have been providing a wide variety of social work services to all different groups of clients and their families. I LOVE Social Work and ability to help individuals and families, by meeting them exactly where they are and supporting them in exploring growth opportunities. I look very much forward to continuing to serve clients today and every day moving forward.
