My Approach to Helping
Seeking therapy is not easy, and you deserve the support that you’re looking for. I approach therapy from a strengths-based perspective and my mission is to partner up with motivated individuals looking to improve their quality of life. I spend the first few sessions really getting to know you as a person and the issues that you have been facing that brought you to therapy.
My job is to listen to you and provide insight and support to help you make sense of what is causing you distress and how we can move forward to help you live a happier and healthier life. I have experience working with adolescentsteens, young adults, adults, and families who are experiencing issues with depression, anxiety, trauma and posttraumatic stress (PTSD), intimate partner violence, behavior, coping skills, family conflict, parenting and kinship, self-esteem, anger management, codependency, grief, foster care and adoption, life transition, relationship issues, and stress.
I am fluent in Spanish and approach the supportive relationship with cultural humility; ready and willing to learn from your specific experiences.
