My Approach to Helping

Feeling isolated, anxious, and tired of it?

Too much stress can be overwhelming and will affect our concentration, stamina, and clarity of mind.

The very nature of trauma is the experience of too much, a feeling of being overwhelmed.

My specialty is in Creativity and Trauma and how one informs the other. My passion for helping people led me to learn many tools and techniques so I can help you even better.

This is not easy work, but it can be fun. We use what is called a Bottom Up approach, in combination with a Top Down. What this means is we learn to tune into our body brain and not just our head brain.

As a Creative Arts psychotherapist and trauma specialist I've discovered ways to work that help you heal, feel better, and help you make more sense out of your life.

When we meet first we find out what is going on, what has gone on, and how we want to use our time together. We can continue to talk; we may include some of the modalities in which I am trained (Art Therapy, EMDR...). It depends on what you are most comfortable with, and fits your particular issues and concerns

More Info About My Practice

If you are tired of being tired and want more from your life you've come to the right place.

People tell me they feel a calmness in my presence. That I say the right thing at the right time. I do not know if that will be your experience but let's see what magic we can create together.

My office is conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan, across the street from Grand Central Terminal, and easily accessible to public transportation.

Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work

How we attach and detach from people and things speaks volumes about who we are and what we need. Thinking about this together guides much of our work. Looking at how overwhelming experiences, or trauma, affects our natural ability to attach/ detach, create/destroy will play significant roles in treatment processing and healing.
