My Approach to Helping
My name is Margaret and I'm glad you are here. It can be hard to ask for help during vulnerable moments, especially if you are new to therapy.
I work with adults, teens, and couples seeking support with relational challenges or mental health concerns including anxiety and depression. I have provided mental health services to families for over 20 years, in the settings of private practice, schools, and community agencies. I have maintained a private practice in El Dorado Hills for over 17 years.
Using evidence based treatment modalities, I offer clients support in self-awareness and finding practical tools to achieve therapy goals. By reviewing patterns of thinking and communication, we can develop new strategies for problem-solving, managing emotions and relating to others.
Self knowledge and learning new skills can pave the way to enhancing joy and satisfying relationships.
Research indicates that therapy is most successful when the therapist and client are a good match. The connection we make and the comfort you experience in sharing about yourself is essential to achieving therapy goals. It is important that you feel confident you will be understood and that our work is confidential. When you are able to share openly, I can better understand and support you.
In my office, you can expect a welcoming, safe, and non-judgmental environment. Working as an independent clinician, allows me to provide you with the individual attention and quality of service you deserve.
Contact me directly or visit my website to learn more information about my practice and services offered. With a free initial phone consult, we can better determine if I will be a good fit for you or a family member.
I look forward to hearing from you.
