My Approach to Helping
I offer individual therapy and couples counseling, with a focus in intuitive and transpersonal psychotherapy. The space is held as inquiry work; in that what is present often has offerings and teachings within for personal and spiritual transformation and evolution.
The space becomes an opportunity to: look at life patterns and repetitions, release old lenses of perception to experience a more present life, be with ones emotional experiences in a safe and transformative way, and integrate the meeting of dual and non-dual wisdoms. The offering is based in simultaneously unraveling old wounds and structures while growing and accessing ones true nature/authentic self. The work tends to bring about a self-advocate and inner knower that moves from love and basic trust, as well as a more neutral observer; learning many of life's challenges are the doorways for internal growth.
I used to think that being spiritual meant leaving my humanness, that it had to look a certain way, a way that bypassed out of who I knew myself to be. As I did my own integration work I came to understand myself and others as "spiritual beings on a human journey". That what we go through in this life, in our own unique ways, even the moments of greatest difficulty, are not not spiritual, but rather are the turning points for key wisdoms and evolution.
Through my story, my personal history, my path, I found my intention and offering: to be with and meet all that is, both shadow and light, as to me they are one in the same, to sit in the therapist seat, and offer embodied presence, as it is our humanness that is the path.
