My Approach to Helping
I have a warm, active, and collaborative style. My approach is holistic. This means we address root causes rather than fixing symptoms. I take into account the physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental aspects of your life. Together, we will go beyond your symptoms to bring long-term wholeness to your body, mind, and soul.
I believe crisis is the shadow of opportunity. Your symptoms are surfacing to be healed and transformed. And to clarify what you want to create in your life.
I work best with those seeking more than traditional talk therapy. I work with clients on a somatic (body-based) and spiritual level if desired. I weave in ecotherapy (nature connection) techniques. I am an engaged and collaborative (not just sit back and listen) type of therapist.
Trained in depth psychotherapy, I hold a master’s in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I am certified in Ecotherapy (nature-based healing) and Permaculture Design. And trained in module 1 of Emotionally Focused Therapy.
