My Approach to Helping

I offer a zero-criticism and judgement-free therapy experience. I will listen fully and offer consultations for individuals, relationships and families. I practice Solution-Focused Therapy which is often brief and aimed at achieving faster results than traditional psychotherapeutic approaches. Combined with Narrative therapy, this approach can help to explore preferred outcomes and help you in the change process by creating small manageable steps to get to you where you want to be next.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I think of therapy as a place to go for outside consultation, to consider different perspectives on a problem or predicament. Therapy can be a place to discuss, ponder and develop new ways of thinking and being.
I understand it can be tiring to search around and find a new therapist. I listen well, empathize with understanding and provide gentle but direct nudges towards positive change. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully we can connect. I am currently accepting new clients.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

Research supports what common sense tells us: one of the most important factors in effective, successful therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. For me, this means that a positive, supportive and trusting relationship is something I strive to develop and nurture.
