My Approach to Helping
As a practitioner of solution-focused therapy, my aim is to help you achieve your personal goals and find lasting joy in life. I offer a safe, welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you may freely express your concerns and receive support.
I utilize tools from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help people adjust negative thoughts and emotions, before adopting healthier behaviors and coping strategies. CBT helps you to better understand how your thinking impacts your feelings and behaviors and reminds you that you have a choice as to how to think and behave. I am also trained in HeartMath which provides with you tools to better regulate your emotions and find coherence with your mind and body. By working together in a supportive environment, we will develop a unique action plan to increase your understanding of self, learn effective coping skills and find lasting symptomatic relief.
