My Approach to Helping
I have been providing mental health services since 1999 by offering direct services, including interventions focused on interpersonal interactions, intrapsychic dynamics, and life management skills. My practice is a humanistic approach offering EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Counseling and Psychotherapy that targets prevention to enhance emotional or behavioral disturbances. I aim to help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors for you to discover solutions to your stressors and struggles. You will learn to understand the negative responses and become aware of how they have led to emotional discomfort or numbness.
I assist individuals in dealing with life issues at home, work and school that has changed from unhealthy coping skills to learning healthy coping skills for them and their loved ones’ emotional well-being. Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (breathing exercises and mediation), Culturally Sensitive Therapy ,and Strength-Based Therapy are evidence-based therapies used proactively, to improve individuals’ emotional health. My multi-diverse clientele ranges from young to mature adults, serving individuals, couples and families, including helping both military and civilian populations.
To get started, a confidential intake questionnaire can be emailed and returned via a secured portal. Sessions can be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on the needs and goals of the individual. Treatment duration can be short-term, all depending on the dedication invested, reflecting between the sessions that helps strengthen the individual’s coping skills and most importantly their emotional health. Taking the steps to face daily life stressors or struggles is hard work. My professional and caring method helps support individuals’ challenges and their healing process.
