My Approach to Helping
I view therapy as a dynamic collaboration between therapist and client and seek to provide compassion and understanding, while also allowing clients to take ownership of their journey toward personal growth and healing. I believe that helping people to become compassionately aware of their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships with others can deepen personal awareness and create change in how one views self, others, and the world.
In my work, I seek to honor the context, values, identity, and community of each client I encounter. Every individual is unique and has their own story; it is my aim to help others explore and speak their story in order to heal and grow.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Therapy is an investment in yourself, your life, and your relationships. It takes courage to enter into therapy and allow yourself to explore deep emotions and thoughts, yet, as with other endeavors that require courage, the benefits can be incredibly enriching and meaningful.
It is important that you find a therapist that not only fits your needs and has skills in helping with the particular issues you are seeking help for, but also one who you feel comfortable with. It is normal for therapy to feel a bit uncomfortable at first, as it requires a certain amount of vulnerability you may not be used to, but feeling comfortable and safe with your therapist is very important. Take time to find a therapist who is right for you.
