My Approach to Helping
Sometimes,life can feel a little overwhelming, and it can seem hard to sort things out on your own. I'm happy to help you get back on course and to support you in reclaiming calm, happiness, and personal power in your life. My approach is collaborative and strength-based, drawing primarily on solution-focused and narrative theory, and incorporating aspects of cognitive behavioural therapy. You captain the ship in your own life journey, but bringing a good co-navigator on board can help with weathering those storms and steering clear of some reefs along the way. I offer counselling support for individuals, couples, adults, and adolescents. I can assist you in addressing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, addictions, anger management, abuse, disordered eating, relational concerns, personal growth, life transitions, and career decisions. My training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma and trauma-related concerns. Clinical hypnosis and brainwave entrainment are also available to support your therapy, and I have training in Radical Exposure Tapping (RET). I am also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist (CMAT), and Certified Practitioner in Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT).
