My Approach to Helping
Lynn is a mental health counselor (MHC-LP) who provides therapy to individuals with various mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, relationship issues, life transitions, and self-esteem.
Through empathy, curiosity, and nonjudgmental positive regard, Lynn’s goal is to provide a safe space for individuals to explore themselves and grow internally. Through collaboration, you will be able to explore and understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and implement positive and meaningful change.
Lynn’s approach involves an integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. Her focus is on helping individuals and their current life circumstances through collaboration. Therefore, the approach and the dynamic of the sessions are solely based on the client’s needs.
Lynn earned her M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the American University of Beirut. Originally from Lebanon, Lynn is fluent in both Arabic and English, and intermediate in French.
