My Approach to Helping
Illuminate your path, Illuminate your life.
Who you are at your core matters and it deserves to be seen by the world!
I am driven by a desire to make a difference in the lives of others and to positively impact the world. I actively seek to live a life guided by a sense of purpose and meaning. My goal is to help you do the same with a highly personalized approach that addresses your needs and meets your criteria for personal success.
My therapeutic process has come from ten years of experience of working with relationships and sexuality. This includes a multitude of relationship backgrounds - married, engaged, living together, dating, polyamorous, same-sex, divorced, and singles wanting to date.
More Info About My Practice
I am an out-pocket-provider for fee-for-service. What this means is I do not charge your insurance company directly. Services may be reimbursed by your insurance company as an out-of-network benefit, health savings account, or flexible spending accounts. To inquiry about these benefits contact your insurance provider.
I provide a 30 minute consultation for free. My rate for a 50 minute session is between $160 a session. Payment for services is cash or check. Payment is required on the date of service.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
The most important factor in finding a therapist is finding someone you can connect. The research has shown that one the biggest factores in successful therapy is how connected the client is to the therapist. This is why I offer a 30 minute consultation for all potential clients. I want to assure that my clients feel a connection. If the connection is not present then I may not be the best therapist. I then will always provide additional resources to potential clients when I am not a good fit.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
The length of therapy is different for every client. I base my approach on each individual, couple, or family. On average most clients see me for 6 to 9 months. I believe that it is a collaborative effort to decide when therapy is done. My goal as a therapist is to assist you in not needing me. I see the therapist as the mechanic who provides the "tune-ups" to help you run more smoothly.
