My Approach to Helping
Psychotherapy is a challenging, rewarding, and profound process of change and self-discovery. I offer my clients a respectful, warm, and curious place to explore their feelings, consider the dynamics of the past, and work toward living a more better life that is not saddled with the challenges of negative patterns and painful emotions.
I work with adult individuals and couples, as well as adolescents. My clients find me direct, warm, and nonjudgmental. I prioritize helping my clients feel heard and validated for who they are and the paths they've chosen. I rely on a variety of approaches to therapy, including relational, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic. My specialties include trauma, relationship and intimacy challenges, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, career counseling, and life transitions such as going to college, graduation, midlife, step-parenting, and divorce. I also work with clients who wish to improve their overall quality of life.
