My Approach to Helping
As a therapist, I strive to create an environment which empowers clients to express their feelings and thoughts. A client must feel comfortable in therapy. Counseling doesn’t have to be scary or anxiety-inducing. Instead, it can be a safe space that a client looks forward to being in. Therapy helps clients become their best possible selves. I use a variety of modalities to achieve this goal, including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion focused therapy, psychoanalytic therapies, and solution-focused therapy, among others.
More Info About My Practice
After working as a high school teacher, I realized that my true passion was connecting with people on a more personal level to help them achieve their full potential. I became a School Counselor and a Licensed Associate Counselor in order to do so. I truly feel one of the greatest gifts in life we can give is time and energy to others, and it is a privilege to be able to do so through counseling.
I graduated from Montclair State University, where I achieved a BA in English and secondary education. I graduated from Monmouth University with a masters degree in school counseling, as well as a certification in professional counseling. In my free time, I enjoy all seasons at the beach, running with Ro, my golden retriever, reading, and cooking.
