My Approach to Helping
I believe in creating a non-judgmental, therapeutic environment that serves the individuals needs. By serving with a person-centered, strength-based approach, each client is able to identify and implement the right solutions and strategies for their therapy goals. Achieving personal empowerment and growth through validation, compassion, empathy and a strong therapeutic relationship is my primary goal as a clinician. By exploring the many layers and facets of a client's life and experience, I work with them to create a tailored, multi-pathway plan for their therapy journey. My major modalities of services include Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Feminist, Multicultural, Integrative, Trauma-informed, Strength-based & Person-centered.
Some of my favorite activities include reading, exercise, organizing, going for long walks, trying new foods and spending time with my family (including my cats)!
