A Little Bit About Liza:
Liza McCorkle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 8 years of behavioral health experience. She is a strengths-based therapist who engages clients with a warm and collaborative approach, allowing for trust to develop and life-changing insights to be gained.
She uses evidence-based and goal-oriented therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, person-centered therapy, and family systems therapy. Her clinical practice includes working with clients facing challenges with low self-esteem, anxiety, autism, ADHD, bullying, depression, and relationship issues.
Liza works in collaboration with her clients to provide a safe and nurturing setting to support the discovery of the self-limiting thoughts and behaviors that get in the way of enjoying life more fully. She is a neurodiversity-affirming therapist with experience working with clients with autism, and ADHD. She helps facilitate a client’s understanding of their unique processing and works collaboratively with neurodiverse clients to improve their ability to better regulate emotions, manage anxiety, increase flexibility, bolster functioning, and improve the quality of occupational, family, and social relationships.
Liza is a graduate of the University of Southern California where she earned a Master of Social Work. She has a broad range of clinical experience including work in schools, hospitals, inpatient behavioral, and in private practice. Liza works with individuals ages 12 to adult. She offers individual therapy family therapy and coaching.
