My Approach to Helping
You are on a personal journey to heal, grow, and discover. My intention as your therapist is to help you understand your personal journey and empower you to make the effective changes that you are seeking. Consider me a collaborator as well as your therapist. We will work together to identify and develop insightful and practical tools that can help you reach your unique goals. I strive for clients to realize their inner wisdom and understand their authentic selves.
I have eleven years post-master's experience working in the realm of human rights, trauma recovery, suicide/self-harm prevention, LGBTQIA specific mental health, sports mental health, and general college mental health.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental, and affirming therapeutic space that values the dignity and worth of every person.
I enjoy working with individuals to gain insight into their lives and draw connections between past experiences and their impact on current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I have extensive training in dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing.
