My Approach to Helping
I believe that every individual has the capacity and strength to bring about change in their lives. With non-judgment and support, our sessions will explore how your past circumstances may be hindering you from moving forward in life.
Have you felt empty inside? Have you tried filling the emptiness with shopping, alcohol, exercise, or a busy schedule? Have you noticed that these things aren't working, or worse, are they causing guilt and other problems in your daily life? Finding outside help to navigate these challenges in life, are the courageous first steps to healing.
My therapeutic approach is to deepen our understanding of you and how your past and present connect. Using a variety of holistic, trauma-informed techniques, including, EMDR, CBT, and Mindfulness, we will explore what has kept you stuck and develop new pathways for living.
My therapeutic style is authentic and engaged. I welcome humor into the room as a useful component of the therapy process. I strive to be responsive to your needs and to create a safe environment where we can collaborate to accomplish your personal goals.
