My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy is grounded in my conviction that life affirming relationship is the path of healing. The process takes root as you get clear about your thirst for change. These roots deepen as more nourishing options are revealed and obstacles are removed. I offer Christ-centered prayer and mindfulness exercises as a spiritual intervention if you want to move toward God in that way. Regardless of your beliefs about God or Christ, I choose to partner with you in your desire for new life.

More Info About My Practice

I have found the principles of Lifespan Integration, Non-Violent Communication, and The Empowerment Dynamic to be extremely helpful. During session, we will practice active listening to the whole self and discover win-win options that honor the body, mind, and spirit.

My favorite activities outside of work are gardening, yoga, discipleship and prayer. My mixed heritage of Asian, Latino, and European cultures has given me a strong appreciation for the dignity inherent in each person's life story.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have been privileged to focus on the healing journey of women who have survived the pain of domestic violence whether as a child or as an adult. In response to the challenges inherent with abuse recovery, I incorporate mindfulness exercises and lifespan integration to strengthen each client's core self. I offer prayer as a spiritual intervention for those who want to move toward God in that way. I am especially attuned to the territory traveled by women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and want to experience more freedom and joy in their most intimate of relationships.
